On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have set watchmen; all the day and all the night, they shall never be silent. You who put the Lord in remembrance, take no rest and give him no rest until he establishes Jerusalem and makes it a praise in the earth (Isaiah 62:6-7 ESV).
Israel will always be at the center of God’s timetable (see Zechariah 12:2; Ezra 5:5). What happens in Israel should concern every believer. God’s plan for Israel has not changed, and as we bless Israel, we will reap blessings (Genesis 12:3). Remember that salvation came to us through the Jews and that we have been grafted in (Romans 11:17). Although they are God’s chosen, they are not yet a righteous nation and many are blind to the Jesus as Messiah. Ask God to give you His heart for the apple of His eye and pray that the eyes of their hearts will be opened and the veil removed (2 Corinthians 3:16).
